About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Hong Kong Catastrophic Risk Centre (HKCRC) at Lingnan University. I completed my Dr. Phil. in the Cologne Center for Contemporary Epistemology and the Kantian Tradition (CONCEPT) at the University of Cologne. I was supervised by Sven Bernecker and Thomas Grundmann. Before that, I studied philosophy at Humboldt University of Berlin and Southwest University of Political Science and Law.
My research primarily focuses on epistemic interventions aimed at addressing the growing threat of epistemic crises and the erosion of critical thinking. My main focus is on epistemic paternalism, where I argue that imposed and non-consensual interventions are not only inevitable but also represent a distinctive form of epistemic collaboration between epistemic superiors and epistemic inferiors. The new question I am focusing on is: As AI systems increasingly surpass and replace the roles traditionally occupied by human agents, what normative relationship should structure the interactions between these AI systems and the human subjects they affect?
Additionally, my research explores questions within formal epistemology and social ontology.
